Many East Anglia parishes are twinned with a parish in the Apostolic Prefecture of Battambang in Cambodia and parishioners in the diocese foster many connections.
St Etheldreda’s is twinned with Prek Toal, a floating village on Tonle Sap Lake. Their tiny floating church and school, St Andrew’s, is served by Father Totet Banaynal from St John’s, Siem Reap. In the past parishioners have travelled to Cambodia to visit and support various projects every two years. The next visit is to be at the end of January 2018. Please contact Fr Tony or Deacon John if you are interested. It truly is a life-enhancing experience.

St Etheldreda’s was involved with two Connect2 Cambodia links administered by CAFOD. See the latest information about Connect2 Cambodia here. Our latest connection is with the village of Puok north west of Siem Reap and parishioners tried to visit this location on the Ely to Cambodia Visit in January 2018.
